Forests, Rivers and Coastline
The New Brunswick environment is varied because of its location. Coast on the north and south, but land-locked on the east and west, the province has many rivers and streams to moderate temperatures. Many species of flora and fauna are native or migrate to New Brunswick's welcoming forests, rivers and shoreline.

Smaller than a Meadowlark, a little larger than a sparrow, the similarly chunky, short-tailed, round-winged Yellow Rail, with its streaked, tawny-coloured back, buff yellow breast and yellow bill, is an elusive marsh bird that is in danger of losing its habitat.
